What Stylometrics provides

Stylometrics offers writing and image tools through its website and API, with shared accounts and prepaid credit. Summary and Email Helper generate text; Image to Text transcribes an image.

The AI detector combines a learned detector with a seven-part writing-pattern rubric into an experimental score out of 100. The score is a provisional editorial index, not a probability of AI authorship. Human writing can score highly, and AI writing can score lightly. Scores, observations, and highlighted regions do not establish who wrote a passage or how it was created.

Do not use a detector result as the sole basis for an accusation, disciplinary action, or a decision about someone’s education or employment. You remain responsible for how you use the readings.

Your account and submissions

Use an email address you control. Only submit writing and images you are permitted to process through Stylometrics and its external services. Do not use the service to interfere with other users, bypass usage limits, or misuse accounts or payment systems.

Summary, email drafting and image-to-text use an external AI provider. Review generated or transcribed text before relying on it. Email Helper creates drafts; it does not send email.

Prices and prepaid credit

Tools and API requests use shared prepaid credit, subject to the funding permissions on your account or API key. Top-ups purchase credit through Stripe and do not start a subscription. Complimentary access applies only to the tools explicitly included in your entitlement; included detector scans do not make other tools free.

Detector scans are priced in started blocks of 1,000 words, with the price shown before submission. The scan price is reserved before processing. Unavailable readings are refunded; a partially completed scan charges only for its completed portion. A failed scan is refunded in full.

Summary, Email Helper and Image to Text show a maximum price before processing. A successful request costs three times its measured provider cost, including the configured provider funding fee, with no minimum charge. For these OpenRouter tools, the funding fee is currently 5.5%. Costs are rounded up to the nearest billionth of a US dollar before the multiplier is applied. The maximum is reserved when the request starts, and unused reserved credit is released when it settles.

Remove Background shows its price before processing and costs three times the provider processing cost. The current standard price is $0.03 per image. Your quote reflects any applicable complimentary access.

A confirmed utility failure releases the customer reservation. Background-removal requests that remain unresolved five minutes after admission close without a customer charge. Other utility reservations remain until the provider outcome can be reconciled. Closing a tab or cancelling a connection may not stop processing. Check the original request’s status before starting another; a new request can incur another charge. API behavior and recovery instructions are described in the API documentation.

A payment-return page is not proof that credit has arrived. Your account balance updates after payment confirmation. Check your balance before repeating a payment after a connection failure.

Availability and results

Stylometrics may refuse unsupported input or be temporarily unavailable. Detector readings are not stored for later retrieval. Summary, Email Helper and Image to Text offer temporary recovery of completed output for up to 10 minutes through the same signed-in session or API key. Recovery uses a limited server-memory cache and may become unavailable sooner after a restart, a deployment, capacity limits or a request reaching another server.

Background-removal PNGs are saved encrypted for 24 hours and can be recovered through the original account or API key. If our server confirms that a completed image is missing or corrupt during that period, its charge is returned to your Stylometrics credit once. This applies to delivery failures; it does not assess whether the cutout meets your preferences.

Copy or download results you want to keep. Account history records usage and charges and provides links to recover eligible background-removal images. For the text tools, a completed request can still be charged if its response is lost and its temporary recovery copy is unavailable.
